OURVER (pronounced ‘our-ver’) is a British menswear brand, created to provide a purposeful and premium quality alternative to fast fashion, by slowing things down, shunning those fleeting fashion trends and offering a sustainable, affordable, year-round collection of permanent wardrobe staples.
Our products are carefully crafted to the highest standards using the finest premium materials and an unhealthy obsession with detail.
We are producing clothes for those who value quality and craftsmanship when investing in a product, but also the values that are intrinsically linked to the garments we love and wear every day.
Sustainability is an integral part of OURVER's philosophy, we believe creating clothes to last is the basis for minimising our environmental impact. We champion skilled small-scale production, partnering with the best ethical factories from both the UK and Europe, using ethically sourced, sustainable materials.
Our aim is always to make the best menswear possible, without compromising those involved in the process, because it’s important to know who made your clothes, that they did so in a safe environment, and were paid properly for their services.
We promote the idea of thoughtful consumption, buying fewer, but better things. For us, the current culture of constant markdowns and flash sales is simply not sustainable, it creates a throwaway culture effectively conditioning people to doubt the true value of a product.
We offer an honest and accessible price year-round, one that accurately reflects the quality and craftsmanship. We have no flagship stores, no artificially inflated prices, and therefore no need for heavily discounted “sales”. Instead, we price our garments fairly at 2x-3x the cost of creating them, as opposed to the 5x-7x markup that is the norm for traditional retail.
What we're offering shouldn’t seem like a new or revolutionary concept, in fact, It should be an industry standard. We are committed to ensuring that we create not only purposeful products but also a company, that endures and performs with integrity over the long-term.
Ultimately, change will be driven by the brands challenging the status quo and invariably the consumers willing to back that change with their hard earned money, and the more people we can get on board, then we can help shift an industry that is also one of the biggest polluters toward a sustainable and transparent future, which in turn, is better for all our futures.
We are proud to be a small independent modern company, continually re-investing, refining and perfecting every product we make, and we do this passionately, building trusting relationships along the way. This is "Our Version".
