Wool is considered the most reusable & recyclable apparel fibre on the planet.
All natural fibres such as wool are considered renewable. This means that they regrow and replace themselves naturally over time. Wool can naturally degrade rapidly in warm, moist conditions, releasing nutrients back into the earth to support the carbon & nutrient cycle, and in turn, reduce the environmental impact. In fact, sheep are part of a natural carbon cycle by consuming the organic carbon stored in plants and converting it to wool, which translates to around Fifty per cent of the weight of wool being pure organic carbon. It also helps that wool products generally have long lifespans, meaning they are used or worn for longer, they can be washed less frequently due to their natural antibacterial properties and are easily repairable.
